Trish Reed

R&B songstress Patricia Reed (Trish) was born and raised in Mount Vernon, New York. Mount Vernon which is also the home of such film and recording legends as; Heavy D, Al B Sure, Phylicia Rashad and Sean “Diddy”Combs is where Trish got your first start singing. Much like many of her predecessors Trish started singing in the church choir. Even as a young girl Trish realized that she possessed the gifts of singing. Her raw talent provided her with many opportunities to sing and lead the children's and adult choirs of her church throughout her upbringing. Music has always provided Trish with comfort and an outlet which allows her to express herself creatively and professionally.Trish’s singing was not the only thing that came to her naturally to her, she also learned to play the piano by ear. Trish’s first big break was given to her when she was provided with the the opportunity to work in the studio with the legendary Curtis Mayfield. The talented songbird worked her way up the ranks by auditioning and performing for various talent shows and several female group projects.Trish was chosen to became part of female R&B/Pop group called “Explicit.” The group was under the direction of artist managers Jeff and Conrad Robinson and 90’s Hip-Hop legend MC Search (3rd Bass). After her brief venture with Explicit, Trish went on to maintain a successful career as a background singer for Mary J. Blige. Trish's work with Mary did not go unnoticed, she would travel the world with Mary J. Blige for over 7 years. Finally after years of being behind the scenes working with major musicians and developing others, Trish has come full blast to perform her own music.
