Travis McCoy

Travis was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. He began playing guitar in January of 1990 at the age of 11. He took lessons for 2 years and learned to play along with tapes and CD's from his favorite bands. Travis joined his first band when he was 15 and since then has played both guitar and bass in numerous bands playing original songs and covers. In April of 2010 Travis quit his band, due to personal reasons, and decided it was time to venture out on his own. He hooked up with Greg "Smokehouse" Martin of Smokehouse Studios, and they started work on "If You Only Knew". Over the next few months Travis and Smokehouse worked many nights and countless hours working on the project. With the vocal help of Louis Collins on "When Johnny Comes Marching", and Andy O'Guin playing electric guitar on "Still Lingering" and even Smokehouse on "I'm Alone" Travis knew he had a great CD. The future for Travis McCoy is in the making. With the help of Smokehouse Travis made some good conections in the music industry. One of them being the ties to Sirius/XM Satellite Radio. On August 14th, 2010 "2 Lines Short Of A Story", "Deep From My Heart", and "When Johnny Comes Marching" were played on the Trucker Talent Spotlight portion of the Dave Nemo show by Tim Ridley, and on April 23rd, 2011 "Still Lingering", "Perfect Angel", and "That October Night" were played on TTS by Mike Burns. There are other endeavours that are still in the works so keep and eye and ear out on Travis McCoy. You could be seeing and hearing more out of him. "If You Only Knew" is Travis' solo debut album. On this CD you will find songs that he has written over the last 20 years. From the very first song he wrote at the age 13, "Perfect Angel", to his most recent song, "That October Night". "If You Only Knew" is a collection of acoustic rock songs about the experiences of life.
