• ALFREDO ANTONIO GUERRERO y TORTILLA FACTORY Three Time Grammy nominated, Alfredo born in San Angelo Texas and now living in Austin is the son of the late legendary Tony Ham Guerrero. He is a highly talented singer/composer as well as a number one semi-professional soccer player. Early in his childhood, practice time for Suzuki violin and piano lessons conflicted with soccer and he set music aside though never out of his heart. He was always his father's number one fan and eventually joined him in his musical career. Alfredo sang back up vocals and eventually rose to the position of lead vocalist in his father's popular Latin Jazz ensemble. He sang salsa as well as Latin Jazz. He sang Pedro Navaja, Cosmic Girl and Al Jarreau's Spain. Alfredo has recorded R & B, shuffling sessions between Austin, Los Angeles,New York & Miami. Some of the musicians that have recorded on his musical productions are Jerry Lopez, Ricky Martin's guitar player, Rene Camacho, bass player for WAR and the late Celia Cruz; Junito Davila, piano player for Mac Anthony. Alfredo released a salsa production in 2007. He writes and composes many of his songs. His recent lauded, distinctive musical involvement is in the genre of Tejano music with the lauded 50 year old Tortilla Factory which won him 3 Grammy nominations. Their 2 productions, All That Jazz and Cookin' were Grammy nominated. Cookin' made musical history by being nominated to both the Grammys and 4 months later to the Latin Grammys in 2011. Alfredo is the lead vocalist in 2 songs, Si te Vas and Yo No Quiero Que Te Vayas from the Cookin' CD that catapulted to number 1 and 2 all over radio stations in the country. Mamacita was a #1 cumbia hit in San Antonio's KXTN. Rupert Pacheco DJ at Bnet Radio comments on the new urban Tejano sound that characterizes the musical style,” WOW, la onda on a whole other level!” Jorge Ramos posted on Tejano 4Life, “Congratulations, Alfredo great music, Great Singing!” In March 2011, Alfredo accepted the best Latin Band award for Tortilla Factory and induction into the Hall of Fame by the prestigious SXSW Austin Chronicle Music Awards. Alfredo's distinctive bilingual recording, Come On Baby, a hip pop club dance song with the world famous rapper, Paul Wall & Interscope Artist AB Soul was distributed world wide through Universal Records. More recent hits which stole the show at the 2014 TTMAS awards. are the cumbia, La Bomba and Hoy Tengo Ganas de Ti, a duet with Tejano super star Shelly Lares....both are available along with all his recordings on ALL Digital Platforms. His endeavor commemorating Tortilla Factory’s 50th anniversary is dedicated to his recently deceased 23 year old niece as well as to his daughter and 2 year old grand baby whom he lost 2 years ago. The pain for his devastating losses has been insurmountable but he is seeking comfort in the healing power of music. His most recent musical recognition is as a Tejano Legend Award which he received January 2023 His latest endeavor is his upcoming production of the original song, “Tus Ojos” with West Coast legend, The GAME and pop singer Paula De Anda.
