Tony Simpson

Born in Glendale, CA. Spent most of my life in Orange County, CA. I was raised in a musical environment . Both of my parents were critics and owned a trade paper in Hollywood called Lime Light. Started playing the drums in elementary school and started playing in bands in Jr. High. Influenced by progressive rock groups; Yes, Gentle Giant, Jethro Tull, Mahavishnu, Chick Corea, Allen Holdsworth, Weather Report, etc. I love and appreciate all forms of music. Have played in several bands and projects through the years, mainly original. Noted musicians I have worked on projects with are Mark Mancina (renowned film composer) and Mark Norton aka Mark St. John of Kiss. Most recently worked on projects with Ivan Browne, lead singer of the Lemon Pipers (Green Tambourine). My wife and I moved to Northern CA in 2003. I'm self-employed with lots of time to compose. In the last ten years, I have been dedicating all of my free time to writing and have accumulated over 200 songs. The sky's the limit.
