Tomas Thrainsson

Born in March 1968, grew up as a sports enthusiast, with focus primarily on football and swimming. At the age of 16 he bought his first guitar, a Fender Stratocaster copy from a small company called Morris. Later he got his hands on a Yamaha acoustic guitar and a black Gibson Flying-V, with Jackson pickups and a Floyd Rose tremolo system. He went on hiatus in the latter half of the nineties, selling the Morris and the Gibson, but having the dreadful luck of loaning the acoustic guitar to a friend, who had it in turn stolen from him. After selling the Gibson, he got his hands on a Seagull 12-string acoustic guitar and that was the only guitar in use for a long time. Then he bought an Epiphone Explorer Korinna 58 from his brother and the friend who had had the old Yamaha stolen, decided that it was time to make good on finding a way to replace it and did so in ca 2011. Tomas was a member of various bands, metal, blues, classic rock and such through his career, but at the moment he's going solo, trying to get his home computers to cooperate with recording music. Currently looking for coworkers for his music, hopefully coworkers who are willing to contribute their own material as a full band project. UPDATE: At the end of february 2016 Tomas got in contact with a group of Icelandic musicians in the Kristiansand area of Norway. To cut a long story short he joined forces with them in March 2016 and currently they're now working on material for their first CD Another update: Unfortunately due to unforeseen events, the band Drangey dissolved due to most of the members moving back to the old country. Currently I'm flying solo and will be working on new material in the next few months.
