Tipanie O Patitifa

Tipanie O Patitifa is a Polynesian dance troupe based in Escondido, Californa. The groups directors Don and Dawn Cheek,(Mother and Son), have been active in the Polynesian entertainment business since 1976. The Tiki Hut, an dance studio specializing in Polynesian dance was the love child of Donald "Don's father" and Dawn Cheek.The Tiki Hut Dancers were very successful, appearing at many civic evnts throughout the Southland and had numerous apperances on local Television. The Tiki Hut Dancers appeared on the Gong Show taking first prize. The Tiki Hut Dancers were truly a family endeavor Don Sr was an Energetic Emcee and the groups emotional leader,Dawn choreographed, chanted and taught over 100 students.Don Jr, Tommy and David all drummed and danced. Today Don (The oldest son) combines his efforts with his mother and such talents as Foe Moi, Uncle Mulala, Donnie Cheek III and of course Quintinn Holi who shares with Tipanie O Patitifa his remarkable musical talent, his unique spiritual guidance and his profound knowledge of the Hawaiian culture. Together we offer a very unique Polynesian Floor Show as well as musical talent for every possible venue. Tipanie O Patitifa competes in events all over the Western States and we offer our sevices to charitable organizations as well as anybody who seeks Polynesian entertainment at a reasonable price.
