Three on a Match

Three on a Match is aband from Southern California. The band consists of the creator, songwriter, guitarist, and singer Kevin Corcoran, Scott Arnold on upright bass, and Tony Cicero on drums. (not represented in the recording) Kevin Corcoran, singer guitarist wanted a band that represented all the different styles of guitar he’s familiar with and ROCKABILLY has them all in one identifiable label for an audience. “I think people like a twist on familiar sounds and you can get pretty far out as long as we come back to the roots” Kevin was fortunate to get his hands on a Gretsch 5420 early in the writing process which definitely helped steer the ship. “With that Gretsch sound, I found a new voice and my writing and singing soared.” Upright bass player Scott Arnold made it a combo and threw a rope around these songs providing smooth bass lines and backing vocals. Scott’s 1920’s bass provides a nostalgic sound that definitely wants to rock. Tony Cicero has many album credits with some on SST Records and most recently with Cash Cats, a Johnny Cash tribute band. Three on a Match creates an eclectic blend of traditional rockabilly, Americana, psychobilly, big band, and punk. The music is truly original and offers something fresh and new to music enthusiasts of all types.
