Tom Houston Jones

An Arkansawyer that came out of the womb in 1975 to a musical family in rural South East Arkansaw. Tom Houston began performing in church and at school at the age of five and made his first professional appearance at 17. He toured extensively throughout the United States with his mentor Cedell Davis starting in 2000. Jones was the foundation of the studio band for Davis 2002 release, When Lightning Struck The Pine. That solid relationship guided him to other touring acts including, Richard Johnston and The Foot Hill Stompers, Duwayne Burnside and The Mississippi Mafia and David Kimbrough Jr. Numerous appearances with John Sinclair, R.L. Boyce and others helped season Jones as he learned his trade and honed his skills. Over the past few years Jones has reconnected with his Ozark hill music heritage as memories of pickin n grinin at large family gatherings near Mountain Home, Arkansaw bring him closer to those who have passed and gone. The legacy remains and so does the comfort of the indigenous musical traditions of the Ozark Hills and the Arkansaw River Delta. Jones is somewhere in between both.
