Hailing from the same UK City as globally recognized Indie acts such as Oasis, The Smiths, and Joy Division, The Rubys have been described as “...lyrically and musically, one of the Best Bands to come out of Manchester". The recent single release, "Sell the Sun at Once” followed fast on the heels of two Philadelphia Countdown chart-toppers, reaching the #1 spot in September 2013. Described as “The Gemstones of Manchester”, The Rubys are recognized as leading the new British Invasion of rock in the US. The Rubys punch far above their weight as an unsigned act. The Rubys' songs echo the drive of U2 mixed with a compelling mix of melodies that suggest The Undertones & Morrissey, whilst evoking a unique yet commercially captivating sound that is at home on Triple A stations, as it is on College Radio. The Rubys are exclusively produced by Dean Glover and the legendary Martin Coogan, singer with The Mock Turtles and brother of Hollywood actor Steve. Formed in 2010, this 6-piece band have already released two prior EPs and a debut album to critical and commercial acclaim. The Rubys continue to build on a growing love of British Indie music in the US, establishing the band as the #1 “one-to-watch” act from the Manchester Indie scene. The Rubys play a limited series of dates in the UK in 2015 and reach the US in The Fall of the same year.
