Gary Alexander started his career as a lead guitarist and vocalist at the age of fourteen, in the southwestern corner of Virginia, USA. By age sixteen Gary had already opened for Tommy James and the Shondells who at the time had the hit song Crimson And Clover. While touring with national Contemporary Christian recording artists in the late 80's, Gary had the honor of doing a seven week tour with BeBe and CeCe Winans, and also opening for The News Boys, The Imperials, White Heart, Mylon LeFever, Sandi Patty, and others in the Contemporary Christian music market. He has shared the stage with artists the likes of the Johnny Paycheck, Doc Watson, Grinder Switch, David Allan Coe, the list goes on and on. Gary also played guitar on the Grand Ole Opry for the late Skeeter Davis in 1984. While doing an apprenticeship with Ronnie Milsaps company, Gary started honing his skills as a singer, songwriter, guitarist, bass player, drummer, producer, and engineer! These days you'll find him nestled in his Nashville studio, working behind the scenes, doing tracks for countless artists. He was honored with the award for 2014 CBMA "Song Writer Of The Year" at the Carolina Beach Music Awards show in Myrtle Beach SC. The winning song was, Maybe We Can Still Be Friends, released by The Entertainers Band, which he also still records music tracks for, and produces in the studio.
