The Improbables

The Improbables are four Northern Virginia musicians who met under unlikely circumstances, immediately found common musical ground in folk, country and pop, and have played together as a singer-songwriter project ever since. The Improbables are Duane Siler, Julie Kehrli and Brad Dietz on guitars and vocals and Keith Thorne on bass. (Keith, an accomplished luthier, custom builds all the basses he plays.) They perform an engaging and eclectic mixture of thoughtful original songs written by Julie and Duane and occasional covers by other singer-songwriters. The Improbables' music features strong vocal harmonies and fluidly interwoven instrumental arrangements. They have performed in coffeehouses, bars, restaurants and at community events throughout NOVA and beyond.
