Over the past seven years, The Groove Diggers have toured all over Europe and the U.K. playing in bars, Rockin’ clubs, festivals and lots of other weird places. The band has released three singles and two albums showcasing their unique talents. The latest releases are “What’s Inside a Girl”, 45 RPM on the legendary Witchcraft International based in Germany. Plus a brand new release – “Off the Beatin’ Track” 4 track E.P. More exciting music to come in 2014 featuring the new exciting line up!! Having started out with the aim of making primitive and authentic Rockabilly in the truest form possible, The Groove Diggers continue to go it alone with the authentic Fifties-style rockabilly being at the heart of their sound. Joe is a keen collector of vintage valve equipment, and he knows how to get the most from it. By understanding the roots of rural 1950s America the band bring together their unique - Music with REAL heart & soul – Rockabilly!! Among their musical influences are Charlie Feathers, Benny Joy, Hasil Adkins, Dale Hawkins, Johnny Jano, to name but a few... The Groove Diggers don’t play their style of rockabilly because it’s easy - but because it’s hard!! The sound is very much a raw rockabilly sound, with plenty of slapback echo and driving rhythm guitar. Joe wanted to capture that certain feeling and hark back to the virtues of artistic creativity that made the original rockabilly artists such as Charlie Feathers so great. Yes, it’s rough – pure old school. Just like their heroes, The Groove Diggers don’t mind the rawness in the sound. The aim is to get that real, true feeling, that comes across in their music.
