The Curse swe
The Curse started out in the summer of 2010, when bassplayer Håkan Göstas got fed up with watching lame bands claming to be fierse rockers playing boring gigs in Stockholm clubs. Something had to done to save Rock'n'roll! After putting a few songs together he teamed up with gutsy and experieced frontman Anders Gustawsson, to handle the vocals. Their mission was to bring you potent and energetic conserts, but also to transfer the live-energy into their recordings. But to do so this dynamic duo needed to expand. Håkans long time bandmate and hardhitting drummer, Bentan was persuaded to leave his prior obligations in local metalbands and to join the group. Still whithout a permanent guitarplayer, the committed trio started recording their debutalbum whith warious guest-guitarists like german punkveterans Wolfgang Lorenz and Atli Grund ot "Big balls & the great white idiot", Hasse Östlund of "The Nomads" and Niclas Frisk of "Atomic swing". Finally after playing several clubgigs in Sweden, ex Therion-guitarplayer Mange Barthelsson became a permanent member. In januari 2011 a four songs only EP was released on swedish undergroundlabel "Powercrack records". In february/march the band toured germany. But soon after Mange Barthelsson announced that he had to leave the group for personal reasons. Well recomended, Kjelle Carlsson joined forces with the Curse and turned out to be the ideal guitarplayer for the band. During the summer, the recording of debutalbum "Suck it in, Spit it out" was compleated whith the able help of producer Rick Trivellini. After another german tour,in november, this time including the Netherlands and Belgum, "Suck it in, spit it out" was released on french recordlable: Stryckhnine production and also on french lable: Pitshark records. In february 2012 Pitshark records also released the limited edition vinylsingle: S.O.B. and the Curse went on another tour of germany in march. Currently the Curse are writing and recording songs for a new album and are making plans for visiting France and Spain this autumn. To be continued
