Thanny & Tracyne

Jethaniel Nixon and Tracyne Hines-Nixon were born in Philadelphia, Pa and raised up in musically gifted families from whence they had discovered there talents as musicians. Jethaniel Nixon, a.k.a. Thanny ,had a sense of rhythm at the tender age of 6 years old. He played a variety of instruments such as drums, piano, woodwinds, brass, and any other instrument he could get his hands on. Since the age of 15, Tracyne began playing bass guitar by accident. She originally started out with the organ and piano and she learned how to read and write music. The bass guitar was a lot easier to carry around! Jethaniel worked with various artists and producers for over 20+ years. Tracyne's bass playing is the bridge between Jazz-Rock, Hip-Hop Soul, Pop and Alternative. Her creativity stems from a foundation of the true pioneers from the school of "Bassology". Such known influences are Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Prince, Tina Turner and many others. She also toured with her own fusion group in the early 80's and later, branched off into casino work. Now Jethaniel has done studio sessions with Kelly Price, Musiq Soulchild, Grammy Award winner James Poyser, Dre and Vidal, Gamble and Huff (Motown), and many others. Thanny and Tracyne have toured and made appearances with major artists nationally and internationally. Tracyne influenced Jethaniel into building his own studio facility. Their project took off on the road through the most challenging paths during their continued journey toward musical success.
