The locus of subductionCurrent is under the water, in the deep self. subductionCurrent's musical and visual work accesses these places of deep understanding and direct/symbolic participation in life's mysteries through unconscious shifts and inner tectonic pulses ~
Tàmmaro has had many years of musical involvement, having worked with very many talented composers in Toronto's underground music/art scene. She is an accomplished vocalist and soundscapist. Catherine has also been in collaboration with the late Phil Ogison and Jeff Howard in Moon Dandies and others.
Here are presented musical compositions, ambient power pop tunes, soundscapes and electronic impulses from different periods and with different collaborators or solo. Most recently, Catherine has reconnected with Jeff Howard (Moon Dandies) and they are revisiting some of the Moon Dandies work from the self titled album released twelve years ago.
In November 2018, Phil Ogison walked on, leaving behind a tremendous musical legacy. Catherine has also honoured their work together here. Married for nearly 20 years, they collaborated in love and music.....
Of late Catherine is painting and continues to show her artworks and make public sculptures Catherine composes tunes for her exhibitions honouring her love of music, her Wyandot, and other Ancestry and her abiding love of places "underneath the waves"........
