Slinky & P'tit Loup

Me, Slinky, I'm a mandolinist for Slinky & P'tit Loup and...a singer and guitarist, too. As a singer I adore the laid-back phrasing of Billie Holiday and the big voice of Bessie Smith and I'm always ready for a vocal harmony with P’tit Loup.. Slinky’s device: „Tain’t nobody’s biz-ness if I do”. Slinky Williams and P’tit Loup are a couple, that has been making music together since 1972 in various bands, for example: Gurnemanz, GAIA, Manou. In the beginning influenced by British Folk (gigs at famous London folk clubs: “The Troubadour” , “Half Moon” or “Nag’s Head”, tour as “Folk Omnibus” together with John Makin, Martin Winsor and Jeannie Steele, LPs : “Spielmannskinder” and „No Raise of Noise“ with Gurnemanz), later improvised World Music (Tour and LP „All In Green“with GAIA with W. Waglewski ) as well as Rock and Jazz in the 90ties. Since the end of their last band „The X-perts“(Blues Rock) they are coming back now as „Slinky & P’tit Loup“ with their CD „Movin‘ On“ released May 2015 , back to the „roots“: Old-timey Blues Songs, mainly played acoustic, Swing Jazz and originals drawn from the same sources - that’s the way, Slinky & P’tit Loup are movin’ on. The CD “Movin’On” did get a very good feedback at Radio Stations all over the world (from Canada to Australia!) and in Blues Magazines, too. Since 2016 we are on the road with double bass player "Monster" Joe Leduc. We recorded a second album together with him in 2017, called "Zone Bleue", which is also available on vinyl. Requested by our fans, we did a CD "Slinky & P'tit Loup LIVE" with our live repertoire, which will be released in December 2023. You can see some of the tunes as videos on this page.
