Skull'Rz Bane

Snarling riffs... Slamming rhythms... Over-the-top stage production... Delivered with conviction! Since 2005, Youngstown Hard Rock act Skull'Rz Bane has been carving a unique niche, captivating audiences far and wide with their extravagant live shows enhanced by powerful, no-holds-barred Rock and Roll. Formed by singer/guitarist Drew Johnson, by a chance jam session with his daughter Roxanne Johnson sitting behind the drum kit, the seeds were planted which would soon sprout into the monster known as Skull'Rz Bane. Skull'Rz Bane would see a rotating lineup in its early years, before the father-daughter power duo of Drew and Roxanne, the core of the project, took the reigns and powered on. With a sound boasting classic Hard Rock and Heavy Metal with modern rock sensibilities, they would begin spreading their sound across the scene and beyond, building a unique stage presence. After a handful of years gigging throughout the greater Northeast Ohio area, the band would create another signature monster, nearly as infamous as the band itself, with the annual music and arts festival Roxfest. Conceived in 2009, ROXFest was initially a gathering of friends and peers to celebrate the birthday of Roxanne. However, the idea to repeat the magic with each following year seemed the only logical step. Now in its 12th year, ROXFest, supported and curated by Skull'Rz Bane, has become a mainstay annual event, featuring a wide array of bands and musicians spanning several genres. As of late 2019, Skull'Rz Bane is still looking to expand their musical horizons. "We are working on expanding our reach and getting into as many new markets and venues as we can . As an original band, you need to continually expand your base. So we've decided to focus our efforts this year to getting in front of as many new faces as we can," says drummer/vocalist Roxanne Johnson.
