Sean Emmett
Graduate of The TDP (Talent Development Program of Australia) in 2015 & member of Young Talent Time 2012. Prodigious and precocious talent doesn’t come any more apparent than Sean Emmett. A young singer/songwriter from the coastal town of Kiama, NSW, he combines a heartfelt lyrical instinct with a voice that belies his 17 years. Sean’s debut EP is an astoundingly strong collection of songs, with broad influences ranging from greats of yesteryear like Paul Simon, to bluesmen like Muddy Waters, through to modern troubadours like John Mayer. On stage Sean exudes a confidence unusual to someone so young. His evergrowing knowledge of musicianship and his strong sense of songwriting shines through with each performance and continues to grow. An early start in music doesn’t hurt - at age 10 he began playing guitar on an instrument crafted especially for him by his luthier father. At 12 he was writing and performing songs at school. Then, at just 14, Sean was cast on national television for the revival of Young Talent Time. Being part of prime time show brought attention to both his performance skills and cheeky, outgoing personality. This garnered him a huge social media following, and Sean began writing and performing in earnest. His debut single "Tattoo" was recorded in LA by Australian producer Andrew Furze and engineered and mixed by the legendary David Bianco (Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan).
