SE7EN DEAD
Matt and Eyan, neighbors since they were young have been rocking out together since about 8 years of age. They began covering Motley Crue songs in Eyan's garage and later added Guns n Roses and Poison among many other bands. Two years ago they placed an ad online for a singer and Hunter was a perfect fit. Through a fusion of 80's hair bands and some 90's grunge influences, they have created the unique sound of SE7EN DEAD. ! Eyan was raised in a household of music. His grandfather, a popular guitarist in the East Bay was his biggest inspiration and Dad and Mom play the guitar and bass respectfully. Growing up around music Eyan decided drums would be his passion. He picked up his first stick when he was 3 and hasn't put it down since! ! Matt picked up his first guitar at 8 years old and has excelled in his instrument of choice. Matt is largely self-taught, learning by ear and YouTube videos. A complete natural on stage, Matt makes screaming guitar solos look easy. ! Nicholas Abbott (Matt's brother) had spent the last 2 years, promoting SE7EN DEAD, going to every show, wearing all the merchandise, and spreading the word. When they needed a new bass player, Nick was asked by both Eyan and Matt if he would "join the band", 3 words he waited a long time to hear. Nick picked up the bass at 11, and takes professional lessons. He quickly learned all the songs to SE7EN DEAD, and now takes charge of the stage, along side his big brother. SE7EN DEAD, a California hard rock band based in San Ramon, is currently gigging to promote their 2014 debut EP Get Damned. The band has a new line-up, and is churning out new material for a full length album. Plans are in the making for a Summer 2016 West Coast Tour. The onstage energy found in a SE7EN DEAD performance stems from the chemistry of each member adding a unique persona visually as well as sonically. Their sound is influenced by a combination of a wide range of classic rock as well as current music . The vibe has been described as having an old school feel with a revamped modern energy.
