This Dread can be found blazin' UP vibes with his tenor-sax live and direct longside various bands and selectas, bubblin' a riddim on keys for several formations, recording his horn for producers and laying down arrangements in his home-studio dubbed "JAHBone Yard". He is based in Freiburg (south-west Germany). Samson's most memorable musical skill is his unique hornswize Raggamuffin-style approach to nicing up riddims live with his sax. As opposed to many sax-players in Reggae today (who tend to sound very Dean Fraser influenced), Samson's style is ruffer and more rootical, reminding more of Tommy McCook and Cedric Im Brooks and African greats such as Fela Kuti. He has performed impromptu soundsystem-style with many selectas in various genres. On soundsystem, he regularly performed sax-wize longside Joyful Noise Soundsystem and blows features for various selectas from time to time. Band-wize, he currently moves with the I-Rise band and the Block-Ice Uplifters, both based in Freiburg. 12UP - JAH bless!!!
