Bob Ryan & Terry Hann

Bob Ryan and Terry Hann are an acoustic duo from Phoenix, Arizona whose music is a blend of “Roots” styles – Country, folk, blues and rock. – Singer-songwriter Bob Ryan provides the majority of the group’s material while muti-instrumentalist Terry Hann enriches the sound with guitar, banjo, mandolin and harmonica. Both Bob and Terry are veteran musicians who have been featured on the Arizona Music Café radio show and have performed in venues around Phoenix and Tucson. – With songs that are strongly melodic, poetic and heartfelt, the two are known for performances that are both humorous and passionate. Lyrically, their songs describe the human yearning for peace and permanence in a world where both are hard to find and harder to hold – stories that play out in quintessentially American scenes of roadside taverns and cafes, small towns and great cities and endless stretches of lonely desert highway. – In 2010, Bob and Terry were invited to play several venues in Bosnia, where they sought, through their music, to inject a message of peace and reconciliation into a still troubled and ethnically-divided culture. They played to very positive response in three different cities there, including Sarajevo. – Bob has released two CDs of material since 2004, both of which are available on iTunes. His 2007 CD “The Spirit of Andy Devine” was the subject of an hour-long radio show on the internet station Radio Free Phoenix, and has been favorably reviewed both locally and in Europe. The two are currently recording their first album of material together and several songs from that upcoming release are available here in early studio mixes.
