RON MEARS
RON MEARS LIVE
Ron Mears is a veteran vocalist, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and entertainer with 47 years of live-performance experience. Based in Washington State, Ron delivers a high-energy mix of Country, Classic Rock, Blues, Bluegrass and original music, combining seasoned musicianship with a strong connection to the audience.
Over his career, Ron has shared stages with artists including Charlie Daniels, Keith Urban, Michael Peterson and Parmalee. He has performed everything from intimate venues and private events to wineries, country clubs, fairs, festivals, resorts, rodeos and large community events.
A multi-instrumentalist, Ron performs on acoustic and electric guitar, banjo and dobro. His original recordings showcase even more of that range. Many of the songs featured here were written and recorded in Ron's home studio between 1996 and 2002, with Ron writing the material and playing guitar, banjo, dobro, mandolin, bass and synth-guitar keyboard parts, as well as programming the drums. Two of the originals, “Reap What You Sow” and “Sister Wife,” are newer songs written and recorded in recent years.
The recordings include original songs such as "I'm Not Over You," "The Right Stuff," "Reap What You Sow" and "Born in My Blood." The collection also includes a live 2002 performance of Eric Johnson's "Cliffs of Dover" with Ron's band at the time and a recorded version of the bluegrass classic "Blackberry Blossom."
Today, RON MEARS LIVE has evolved into much more than a traditional solo act. Ron performs solo as well as in expanded live configurations, with a show built around strong vocals, guitar work, recognizable songs, originals and audience interaction.
Erica Mears adds another dimension to the show through percussion and drums as well as professional line-dance instruction, allowing events to combine high-energy live music with an interactive dance experience.
Recent RON MEARS LIVE performance videos have generated millions of views across social media, reaching audiences around the world and building a rapidly growing online following.
Whether performing solo or with other musicians, Ron's focus remains the same: give the audience a real live performance, connect with the crowd and make the event memorable.
After 47 years of performing, Ron is still doing what he has always loved — playing live, connecting with people and letting the music speak for itself.
