Rika Muranaka

Hollywood based composer Rika Muranaka is one of the biggest selling videogame composers and producers of all time. She has written music to some of Konami's most illustrious AAA videogame titles and sold over 33 million copies of games and records combined. Working closely with Hideo Kojima, she hired a team of composers to embark on a project which would later redefine the way music is used in videogames. That project was called Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and as executive producer, Rika hired some of Hollywood’s top composing talent including Harry Gregson-Williams from Venice Beach's Remote Control Studios to produce the soundtrack. Rika Muranaka is an innovative composer and producer, capable of writing in a wide variety of musical idioms few other composers have explored. From the Gaelic folk music of The Best Is Yet To Come, the 1960s Bond-style Hollywood orchestrations of Snake Eater, the classic jazz arrangements of Don't Be Afraid, and Can't Say Goodbye To Yesterday, and the hip hop soundtrack of MTV Japan, Rika's talents know no discernable limits.
