Published Indie recording artist Eddie Roberts, founder of Resin 8, began his study of music at a very young age of six. Eddie started writing poetry and free-form abstract writing without thought, just letting one word inspire the next. His grandmother took him in at age twelve. Years passed, and he settled into school. By the time he graduated, he was three times All-state on Trumbone and earned a full scholarship in music.
Soon after turning 17 in 1991, Eddie volunteered for military service in the U.S. Army. After returning home in 1993, Eddie auditioned for and made the 106th Army band. In 1998, he received his Honorable discharge. Soon after depression took over.
Suffering the loss of several of his close friends to the war, suicide and drug overdose the darkness at that point had taken control. Emptiness seemed to have all that was left.
death seemed a fantasy, one that was too good for him. Out of that he began writing songs with drummer David Nolan (Dude) and Jeff Payne on bass such as "Free yourself" "I walk alone" "Go away" and "You lied again" all on an unreleased album called "Wasted" . Over the next several years formed Resin8. A musical bond formed between them, practically reading each other's mind. Their presence on stage is captivating, bigger than life as though they are possessed. Truly unreal, in the moment, a must-see experience.
