Red Leo

RED LEO is the brand name for solo projects of the saxophonist, singer/songwriter and musical dabbler John Le Serve. Reunited is the first such project and is based on a poem I wrote to help me deal with the loss of my beloved mother back in 2005. It is therefore dedicated to her memory (she will be missed until we ARE reunited, wherever and whenever that may be), and also to all those out there who have lost a loved one. Fast forward 13 years and retirement has sparked a burst of creativity, alongside some long overdue progress in guitar playing. So I now have a digital album which was aiming at 7 tracks, but now has 14, with more on the way. I still play all the instruments on my tracks (some of them quite well!), but plan to have some guest musicians in the near future. A full band version of A-OK was recorded in 2025 with The Grooove Tubes, and we play it at our gigs: exciting times! Remember: it's never too late to give it a go!!
