We got rained out! Hope I'll get to play in Carrboro soon, but it won't be today.
I'll be playing some old and new songs, all the "family-friendly" ones. Come by and listen and stick around to say hi!
I'm first up on the NC Songwriters stage this morning--Duke Homestead is having their "Pork, Pickles, and Peanuts" summer festival, and we've been invited to be part of it. Music will be happening all day, and there will be several events including a barbecue cook-off, and a pie contest. I'll pull out my local food-related songs, and we'll have some fun.
Pete and I are playing a few acoustic sets featuring Americana, blues, folk, and a little country from 9 p.m.-midnight. Come have a beer and listen.
We'll be doing a songwriter's set at Mystery after the Carrboro Music Festival. I am pretty standard re what I like in a beer (Newcastle, Bass, Harp) but I had a tiny thimble of something really lovely at Mystery the last time I was there. My advice is, come, enjoy the show, and try something "crafted" by the experts.
