Nick Tierra

Dynamic only begins to explain the energy, creativity and presence that Nick Tierra brings to the stage. Since stepping into the limelight at age 13, he has honed his skills in both studio and stage performances. Tierra’s track record includes hundreds of live performances including shows with 311, Hed P.E., and Smile Empty Soul. Nick’s penchant for addictive melodies and seductive lyrics make him one of the hottest up and coming singer/ songwriters, boasting a catalog of over 70 original songs, composing and producing over 6 albums worth of material. Tierra has extensive experience as a session musician and has worked as a studio musician on the national stage including a remix for Atlantic Records. Tierra picked up his first guitar at age 13 and immediately began playing and creating his own music. By age 15 he formed Six15, a pop/punk band that enjoyed local success for three years in the DC area and along the east coast. Nick was Six15’s composer, guitarist and backing vocalist, but after writing and recording over 25 tracks with them, college undoubtedly put an end to Six15. Nick then joined Strawman as a guitarist. Strawman toured nationally, opening 70 shows for the Kottonmouth Kings in front of audiences averaging 1,000 people a night. They also opened for bands such as Anthrax, Collective Soul, FUEL, Sev, and the Exies. During their time together, Strawman sold over 10,000 copies of their album and played at major festivals like Rolling Rock and Mobfest. After four years of success with Strawman, Nick founded Aggromatic, a melodic mix of hard rock, punk, and progressive metal. Aggromatic played numerous shows, music conferences, and festivals, and had regular rotation on D.C.’s #1 rock radio station, DC 101. While playing with Aggromatic, Nick continued to write and produce his own compositions, eventually building an in-home studio from the ground up. Since that time he has turned his focus 100% to writing and producing music, and has sharpened his skills as a singer/songwriter across multiple genres. Nick Tierra’s passion for music, songwriting proficiency, and electricity on stage make him one of the most promising young artists in the business. Several music labels have already expressed interest in his latest work, but Nick’s drive for perfection and knowledge of the music business push him to continue his search for a mutually beneficial partnership to skyrocket his career into stardom.
