Mike Murphy

Mike Murphy was born in New Mexico and raised in Texas. After receiving his Bachelor degree from Texas Tech in 1974 he moved with his wife to Utah where he taught school for 37 years. In 2007 Mike recognized a need in the community and opened Murphy's Guitars which he owned for 14 years, building it into one of the premier independent guitar shops in Utah. Mike began writing songs when he was still in high school and has produced three CD albums, Standing at a Crossroad (1996) Friends (2001) and Everyday Heroes (2010) Mike's most recent album, a 6 song EP, is entitled Long Time Comin' and features some of his very best work. Mike still performs around the intermountain area and makes his home in Bountiful, Utah.
