Mickey Surmick

Singing is the focus of my music. As it developed, I slowly bought recording gear and software. Now my music uses a lot of MIDI patterns generated by my computer. These patterns are then put through instruments like Sample Tank and Hybrid. I sing on as much of that electronica that I can. Some of my songs here are acoustic with my harmonica. The guitar on the acoustic songs was composed and played by Ron Ryan. Some songs are from a live rock band I jammed in called SAVAGE and ONE FELL SWOOP. Throughout my music, I always tried to merge my generated melodies to singing. I try to embed my male voice into "new age and electronica"" music, a genre that does not lend itself to the male voice as easily as it does the more commonly used female voice. Considering myself open-minded, I have been influenced by female voices as much as male. These influences include Blue Stone, and Balligomingo, as well as the respect for the male voice used in Enigma, Yes, Pink Floyd and of Trent Reznor, Glenn Hughes, and many others.
