Straight out of Los Angeles, California comes blazing shred guitarist and competitive bodybuilder Maxxxwell Carlisle. Over the past several years, he has taken high energy virtuoso guitar pyrotechnics to a whole new level with the release of 4 punishing solo albums and countless live shows across the US. His street credibility has been further cemented with his time as a touring guitarist in Deathriders, the thrash band led by original Anthrax vocalist Neil Turbin. His latest EP "Full Metal Thunder" was released in 2013 and became an instant hit with fans and critics. Following hot on the heels of that release comes his new album “Visions of Speed and Thunder”. The full-length album contains key tracks from each of his previous releases, fully re-mixed and re-mastered, plus several brand new tracks. The album features guest appearances by guitarist Michael Angelo Batio and Nita Strauss, electric cellist Tina Guo and Lords of the Trident vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein. The album is full of US arena metal anthems that make you want to play air guitar with reckless abandon, and pump your fist high into the air. Showcasing the musical spirit of heavy weight legendary bands such as Saxon, Riot, Loudness, and Impellitteri, the songs take you back to a time when Heavy Metal ruled the airwaves. Also in 2013, Maxxxwell joined the new line-up of legendary Los Angeles, California based heavy metal band Hellion. They teamed up with legendary producer Ken Scott (Pink Floyd, Jeff Beck, The Rolling Stones, etc.) to record new material, the first of which will be released on the Hellion anthology album, “To Hellion and Back”. Hellion will be on tour in the spring to support the release of the anthology and the following EP of all new material. As if that wasn’t enough, Maxxxwell has also recently been featured on the new Michael Angelo Batio CD, “Intermezzo”. The CD also features legendary shredders George Lynch, Michael Romeo, Jeff Loomis, Guthrie Govan, Craig Goldy, Rusty Cooley, Chris Poland and many more! His live band includes veteran metal drummer Dave Chedrick (Deathriders, Graphic Violence, Hirax), vocalists Michael Yancy and Melody Schoenfeld, and bassist Nick Laux. All these elements combine to create and unforgettable live show! Maxxxwell Carlisle has already worked with many top musicians including Michael Angelo Batio (Nitro), Tina Guo (Solo artists and Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson Tour), Ethan Brosh (Angels of Babylon), Neil Turbin (Anthrax), Nita Strauss (The Iron Maidens and Femme Fatale), Simon Wright (Dio, AC/DC), Bjorn Englen (Yngwie Malmsteen and Tony Macalpine), Rick Renstrom (Rob Rock, Mistheria) and more. With influences such as Chris Impellitteri, Akira Takasaki, Tony Macalpine, Michael Angelo Batio, Yngwie Malmsteen, Luca Turilli, Paul Gilbert, Rusty Cooley and Jason Becker, his sound is a blend of neoclassical and straight over-the-top balls-to-the-wall shred guitar.
