Mark Jeffery Campayno

Mark Campayno. Biography Mark's musical background is varied as he have studied practically ever genre of music whether in or out of college. Upon graduating from Seton Hill University in 2003, Mark accepted a position with Loudoun County Public Schools as guitar director. He currently teaches at Broad Run High School in Ashburn, VA. The following year he was appointed director of the guitar department at River Bend Middle School in Sterling. Within two years he built the program to over two hundred and twenty five seventh and eighth grade guitar students. During that time, Mark also taught after- school strings for four years directing forth through eighth grade students in violin, viola, cello, and double-bass education and performance. In 2005, Mark was recognized by then Virginia Governor, Mark Warner, for teaching excellence. In his seven years at River Bend Middle School Mark was awarded Teacher of the Year twice and was runner up another two times. In 2010, Mark moved up to the high school level splitting his time between directing guitar at Heritage High School in Leesburg, and Broad Run High School in Ashburn, Virginia. Mark also owns and operates his own performance school, StudioRock of Northern Virginia in Sterling where his curriculum focuses on teaching all styles and approaches to music education and performance, StudioRock is an outgrowth of Mark's love of learning, teaching, and performing. Mark's passion has always been playing and studying all styles of guitar performance. His favorite is a mix of funk, blues, rock, and jazz. His real secret passion lies with smooth jazz. Mark is prepared to play any style of music and has the equipment and knowledge to handle them all. Mark is currently busy with recording and promoting his students whom he receives much inspiration from.
