Lulu Love (Lindsey Smith-Trostle)

Lindsey Smith-Trostle is a freelance cellist in Nashville, TN. She holds a Bachelors of Music in Cello Performance from Loyola University New Orleans and a Masters of Music in Cello Performance from Belmont University. Lindsey has been playing regularly with Huntsville Symphony since 2006 and also subs with various other regional symphonies. Recording with various artists including Jack White, Tanya Tucker, Kirk Franklin, side projects for members of Toby Mac's band and several local indie and hip hop artists. Performed with numerous artists including Futureman's Black Mozart Ensemble at Bonnaroo, Transiberian Orchestra in various cities, Dennis DeYoung of Styx, various local bands in Nashville, Theresa Andersson and Smokey Robinson in New Orleans. She has performed in master classes for Benjamin Zander and the Tokyo String Quartet. Lindsey co-founded Athena Strings and plays in the Athena PIano Trio, which strives to focus on original compositions, tangos, unusual arrangements, and the unexpected. The goal being to break with convention and create a fusion of all the arts, to revolutionize and modernize what classical music is, making it more accessible and entertaining to all audiences.
