Love Chunk is simply; a way of life. Love life, love yourself, Love Chunk. The band exemplifies this philosophy with improvisation and orchestration of an ever evolving star. For 20 years, Jesse Evans has written hooks deep rooted in his southern upbringing. Songs embracing somberness in the casualties of war, to the light-hearted playful melodies that embed themselves in the heads of those who listen. From Granny's attic in the mid 1990's, spawned the groovecentric percussionist Dave Solano. With influences like Stanton Moore (Galactic), Mofro, The Black Crowes, and the likes of New Orleans brass bands, the groove flows deep through Solano's veins. Chris Woods has many years of stage experience, backing legendary Delta Bluesman Willie Green. Originally a guitar prodigy, has taken up the bass to add to Lovechunk's wall of sound. All in all, the Chunk is well on the way to achieving national status. With the main emphasis on having fun and loving life, our philosophy rings true for our fans.
