Long Shore Drift

Long Shore Drift's personal concoction of coastal indie rock has made a name for the 5-piece in their hometown of Miami, and they've played, sung, and sweat their hearts out for it to be so. Most of the band (Carli, Caitlin, Nikki, and Michael) have been family since forever, and when they started playing with non-related bro/bassist Ammar in 2013, Long Shore Drift came into existence. Surf vibes, art-rock, new-wave, 80's pop, and bands like Arcade Fire, Local Natives, Pixies, New Order, and Grouplove, among others subtly shape their sound. Through name changes and exploration of different soundscapes, their music and identity have shapeshifted into the band they are today, pridin' themselves on beach-bred artistic indie rock. They've played shows in South Florida for the past two years, but it really was the year 2015 where things came together for the group. With the release of their debut EP "Shore Stories," the fruits of their labor over time have finally materialized. For a band where every member is still under 21, they've got significant experience and maturity under their belt, and songs up their sleeve that can have the youngest to the oldest of crowds on their feet, grooving along to the sounds they play and the heart they put out for everyone to see on stage. Long Shore Drift been described as "having more live experience than their ages may hint at," among other words like, "An upbeat explosion of energy that'll keep you on your feet all night, that's also wrapped around a nice family vibe," "a blast," "rocking your smocks off," and simply, "Dammit this band is so good."
