L-NESS

L-NESS LIONESS is a person who is passionate about social processes and progress hence, she always finds diverse ways in which music, lyrical and creative writing can be utilized to advocate for the transformation of the lives of vulnerable and marginalized groups in our society. A.k.a. Lydia Owano Akwabi, she is a Poetic, Social Activist, Performing and Recording Femcee, Composer, African Hip-Hop Cultural Specialist, Certified Nutritionist and Researcher. As a Composer, she is interested in adding value to the creation of different and more Kenyan sounds in musicals and the artistic repertoire at large, by giving encomium to our Kenyan traditional instruments and sounds and using them in a current way to capture a generational exploration of traditional and urban sounds. As a Translator and Hip-Hop Cultural Specialist, she represents aspects of the elements of the Hip Hop Kulture such as Street Language and Emceeing.
