Being single has some great advantages. You never have to make your bed if you don't want to or even fold the laundry. You can leave your house a mess and who cares about all the clutter. Your closets can be filled to the brim with all your stuff. None of this matters...or does it? Is all the clutter having a negative impact on you finding the man of your dreams? It might be. As single women, it is easy to not pay attention to your surroundings and many of us have no idea if our environment is supporting our goals or if it is actually hurting us. As successful women we tend to have a lot of stuff and we tend to bring work home with us and create piles of clutter. Clutter can actually create a negative influence in your life and actually block the flow of events in specific areas of your life. In your quest for Mr. Right, the little things do matter. The first question to ask yourself is do your home surroundings reflect the life you want? You need to be prepared for him to walk in and when he walks in you want the relationship to flow effortlessly. A little Feng Shui can help. Feng Shui can always help attract the energy of love into your life, however you still have to do some work. If you want love, start by examining your bedroom. Is it tidy and clean or does it look like an earthquake just hit it? Your bedroom should be a room that invites you in and creates a calm loving space at the same time. This should be a place where when you walk in you are relaxed and happy. It should be a place that welcomes a good night sleep or place to have a passion filled night. To create a welcoming environment, make sure that you leave the computer out of the bedroom and while you are at it, keep any exercise equipment out too. Both of these represent work and you don't want your relationship to be work. What else is in your bedroom? Anything from boyfriends past? Now is the time to get rid of anything from any past relationship. This means pictures, clothes, jewelry, love letters etc. You can't have a new relationship until you close the doors to old relationships. As you look around your room, do you see anything that represents what you want to have? If not, think about artwork that shows happy couples or things you want happening in your life. Pictures of sad lonely people represent you being sad and lonely. Create a warm loving environment by adding candles or flowers to your room. You might even want to make a vision board that showcases the life you want. Fill it with pictures of couples doing what you want to do. It might be vacationing, going out to eat, getting a massage or relaxing in a tub. Whatever your vision is, find pictures that represent those images. When you finish with your bedroom, your next stop should be your closets and medicine cabinets. It doesn't matter if it's spring or not, chances are it's time for some spring cleaning. If you haven't worn it or used it in 6 months, get rid of it. Make room for new exciting things. Go room to room in your house and evaluate the clutter. Clutter really creates draining energy so decide to de-clutter your house. This might be an emotion-filled process for you and may even feel like therapy when you start to get rid of some items. Once you complete this process, you will open up new opportunities - and Mr. Right is more likely to walk in the front door, so make sure his entrance is not blocked by clutter.
