The History of Kingdom Culture Music On being asked this question Lester puts it simple, “I am a son of God and a Citizen of his Kingdom that is the passport I carry.” Lester Lewis is known all over the Caribbean Islands, Africa, Europe, North America and South America as the pioneer of gospel reggae and the founder of ‘Kingdom Culture Music.’ established since 1986 He is known as a multi-talented minstrel, psalmist, worship leader, teacher, prolific songwriter, and musical maverick. His wife Rose, son Lestrado, daughter Estena and daughter-in-law, Tracey Lewis have touched millions of lives worldwide with the message of the kingdom of God through their original music genre…‘Kingdom Culture Music.’ Back in the early 1980,s when there was no reggae music being played in church, the Lewis’ and the KCM band were the first psalmists to take ‘Kingdom Culture Music’ (Gospel Reggae) outside of Jamaica to the continent of Africa to countries such as, South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Ghana. Since then, the Lewis’ and the KCM band, have traveled to over 40 nations performing in churches, universities, collages, arenas, stadiums, prisons, schools, and communities. Lester Lewis singing Rose the KCM band got a golden opportunity to minister in Lagos, Nigeria to over 8 million people at an internationally televised event hosted annually by Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the general overseer of the ‘Redeemed Christian Church of God.’ The Lewis’ also frequently attends the International 3rd World Leadership Summit, Youth Alive, and Asaph hosted by his mentor and spiritual father, Dr. Myles Munroe in the Bahamas. They were guest ministers at numerous international conventions such London Festival of Life, Oral Roberts University, and Kensington Temple in London... just to name a few. Lester Lewis along with his wife Rose and Michael Brim won JCDC Gospel Festival in 1988 with his no.1 hit track ‘Every time I read my Bible’ after which they wrote and recorded the biggest Gospel Reggae song in the world ‘Jesus is the Winnaman’ one of the first Caribbean song to be covered by world renowned worship leader and songwriter Dr. Ron Kenoly. On one occasion while ministering their song taken from Psalm 118:17 entitled, ‘I shall not Die.’ A young lady who was plagued by the spirit of suicide testified that she was instantly delivered from that spirit after hearing this song. These are inspiring songs that people from all walks of life love to listen, and are two of the top favourite choruses of all times. The Lewis’ are dedicated to writing songs that will give hope to our generation, lifting heavy burdens, making disciples and bringing Heavens Culture to earth.
