
Kriver
Kriver is a heavy metal band from Recife, Brazil. The group was formed in 2009 by Bruno Oliveira (g), Jahyr Cesar (v), Guilherme Cordasso (b), Thiago Quintino (g) and Ricardo Lira (d). With this line-up recorded it’s debut EP Toxic Blood, released in July 2010. On August that year, the group made its stage debut as support band for HANGAR concert in Recife. Following this, Kriver is invited to play in several cities in northeast Brazil. Toxic Blood had a distribution by Hellion Records in Germany, and was well rated by reviews. The band was voted as “the best band of Pernambuco 2010” on the biggest heavy metal site of Brazil, Whiplash.net. In July 2011 the group enters in sudio again, but problems with some members slowed the recording process. That year the band also played in the local edition of “Wacken Metal Battle”. In 2012 the line-up is renewed: Rafael Gorga and Marcelo Neves joins as vocalist and guitarist. After playing several concerts in the region, the group finishes its second EP Torrential. Torrential, released on February 2013, granted the band 2 official videos and an invitation to play in one of the most important rock festivals on Brazil, “Festival Abril Pro Rock”. Playing for 8.000 people the band shared the night with bands like: ANDRE MATOS, SODOM, KRISIUM and DEAD KENNEDYS. Later that year, Kriver played in “Agreste In Rock” festival, sharing stage with SEPULTURA.
