Kevin is perpetually drawn to a life of wonder, with the notion that writing clever tunes for people who like to sit still and dream with their eyes open might be seen as a truly noble vocation. "Playing music creates a sanctuary that bridges worlds – the outer physical manifestation of structure and the inner divine dwelling of spirit."
"I was raised in a musical family in Iowa. Dad was a jazz piano player with a four-man combo for 35 years, The Executive Committee. Mom was a singer with a big band in the 1950s, The Jack Payne Orchestra, and would occasionally sing with Dad at his gigs. My folks were entertainers in the classic sense, influenced by jazz of the 40s, 50s and 60s. I started studying piano at age 5 and stayed with it for about 10 years. In the 70s I got a guitar and a bass and everything changed. In 1987 I moved to San Francisco to pursue a life of creative freedom in the visual arts and music. I've played with lots of bands over the years and I've had a great time performing in many incredible shows. I'm looking for collaborators, singers, songwriters, kindred musicians who want to co-create and enjoy this magnificent gift of life."
