“Unsung heroes brought heat like De Niro, Neighborhood weirdos you should be careful of”…. Karniege Karniege is a native New Yorker born, and bred in Brooklyn. He’s known for having a powerful voice, outstanding word play and energetic flow. His first single “Make News,” was released on Definitive Jux in 2004. This led him to be featured in the 2005 April issue of URB Magazine, for the next 100. Since then Karniege toured across the U.S. and overseas. He’s been featured on various projects, released numerous mixtapes, singles and collaborative albums. Such as From the Left, Empire State, and The Unveiling. His music has also aired on various television programs such as Law & Order, MTV’s Pimp My Ride and The Tyra Banks show, just to name few. In late 2010 members of the New York City weekly open mic know as: End of the Weak (E.O.W.) recruited Karniege as a co-host. Within that time hosting, it helped him improve his skills as a mcee, producer and as a performer. In 2012 Karniege released his project, Workz Of Art EP which is a more in depth look at Karniege as a producer. When 2013 came along his song “Whatchu Want” produced by Belief was featured in the blockbuster hit movie and on the soundtrack This is the End, which carried an all star line up. Currently Karniege has been working on his latest project entitled New York City, and his long awaited solo debut album Kolorful Thawts. Overall Karniege is looking to expand his sound and style to current and new fans around the world. Bringing that same fun and raw energy like it was his first timeout.
