As frontman of the sensational machine called"THE OVERDRIVE", Kalvin Kristi catapulted onto the Jamaican alternative scene like a category four hurricane.
The year was 1997,when the influential quintet took the Caribbean to "HigherGround". Propelled by the infectious arrangement of the album's lead track, "Women of the Century". Kristi soon found himself performing live, with established acts like; "Shaggy", "Third World", and "Born Jamericans". While "Billboard"described him as the most complex, yet compelling artiste to emerge from the Jamaican alternative network.
Fast forward to the present, and we find him forging a new direction as a solo artiste. Still mixing Reggae/Rock concoctions with the unseen force, known as "The stranger". Building "Shikari" into a potent, socially conscious hit factory.
