Julie Kinscheck

Currently busy promoting her last CD: Let My Light Shine, Julie Kinscheck is doing what she loves best: Singing her heart out! In 2008 Julie Kinscheck, Queen of SCAT, released her debut solo artist CD: Grace With Jazz On Top, with which she toured the NE Christian Coffee House circuit and church conferences nationwide. Julie has overcome many struggles- all found in her songs. Her journey from a broken home in upstate New York to a crazy musician's life in Boston and then to marriage and challenges with infertility and insecurity and victories through faith are all there... Born Julie Alice Gibbons in Ithaca, New York, Julie began playing out as a singer songwriter guitarist at age nine. But music had to ride shotgun for a while as Kinscheck pursued her goal to make it as an Olympic gymnast! She didn't achieve Nadia's perfect 10's (or even make it to the games) but her determination, which included working out 6 hours a day in the gym, was engraved into her character. Kinscheck does everything in her life whole-heartedly! And her music would be no exception. Since then she has toured Europe, achieved a B.M Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in Boston, won songwriting awards, played in numerous pop, jazz and country cover and original bands and released 3 CD’s. Julie Kinscheck is mother to 12 year old twins, Caleb and Hannah and wife to producer/ keyboardist Ralph Kinscheck. But the story is not over... now a soccer-Mom, playing in the praise band at her church, touring is challenging and the industry can seem against her.
