JJ is a German-born freelance bassist & lately now also a composer and producer, hailing from Amsterdam (NL).
He is thankful to could have met & played, jammed, or shared a stage at least once with cool musicians like:
Georg Lawall, Bodo Schopf, Franc Kuruc, Friedbald Rauscher, Ekkehard Rössle, Clemens Winterhalter, Siggi Schwarz, Roger Happel, Candy Dulfer, Olaf Keus, Franklin Bata, Bas Odijk, Jusso Whistler, Wolfgang Maiwald, Marco Toro, Julius E. Green, Gus Genser, Theo Mosquito..just to name the most known to the public.
In the past he had been also a semi-pro member/bassist of 2 bands
from Stuttgart (D) and later again with 2 bands now in Amsterdam (NL). He performed often original & instrumental repertoire at various music cafes, clubs, cultural centers, small festivals & other venues.
His most notable band involvement so far had been gigging for a while with the "JJC Helder Band", a A'dam based group around female singer Marlies Helder with o.a. guitarist Joop van Nimwegen (Ex-Q65/Livin' Blues) and drummer Pierre van der Linden (Ex- Brainbox/Focus) of a certain Dutch Rock Music legacy.
In 2003 he started to focus on composing, arranging and finally also producing own original & mainly his instrumental twists of various Funk-Latin-Jazz-Smooth-World Beat inspired styles and flavors.
It's a "One-Man-Band" project so far and all music is done by himself with his MIDI friends at home. Hopefully he can perform his music also live on stage in the future.
He self-released his (digital) album debut "Heartland" in 2005 and a EP-album with 4 new & already selected tracks as preview for his overdue up-following new album "Moving On" in 2009...to be continued!
In 2025 he joined as bassist also a new multi-culti band project in A'dam, entitled "The Boost Band" with about 15+ other musicians from various backgrounds & nationalities.
