John Hruska - Composer John grew up in Lake Orion Michigan, a small resort town just north of the Motor City. He learned to play piano at an early age, and later added the Trombone when he joined the school band. He went on to play with the Michigan State University marching band. When John seriously took up composing music, he self-taught the guitar. His early musical influences were Elton John, Billy Joel, and crooners of the fifty's and sixty's[thanks to his father's influence] He now resides, not too far from where he grew up, along with his wife and three children. His musical tastes are still well rooted in 70'S pop, but now he has a new passion for singer-songwriters like Joe Ely, Michelle Shocked, and Tom Russell. Peter Sheardy - Lyricist Peter also grew up in Lake Orion, Michigan, where he and John became friends in the 8th grade. Peter selected the trumpet as his school band instrument. After attending Michigan State University, he focused on one of his favorite hobbies; writing poetry. He is published in 7 different poetry compilations. After John and he decided to turn their attentions to collaborating on music, Peter started to hone his lyric writing skills. Today, he resides in Chicago, but John and he manage to get together monthly, to spend time in the studio. Peter's early musical influences were very eclectic, depending on which family member was using the RCA stereo. Hank Williams, Mozart, Motown, and The Grateful Dead help form his musical foundation. Today, he explores all types of music genres, but leans towards the music of Tom Waits, Emmylou Harris, and Lyle Lovett. He is also a published poet and author(recently released "Airplene Etiquette: Traveling With Manners"-available at Amazon)
