Glenn Reid

Glenn Reid, acoustic guitar and vocals, has been performing professionally for over thirty years as a singer-songwriter and lead vocalist in various bands. His song “Another Hanks Williams Night” spent 14 straight weeks on the European Country Music Associations Top 100 chart, entering the top ten in several countries, including Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, and hit #1 in Sweden. His first three solo CDs are still being played around the world from Austria to New Zealand. His 4th CD “Not Being With You” was released in February 2017. Max Styles found early fame when his band The Kings, formed in Oakville, Ontario topped charts around North America with their huge hit “This Beat Goes On / Switchin’ to Glide”. When the Kings parted ways Max continued to be in great demand as a drummer with several Toronto bands, including one formed with Glenn, Juno Hall of Fame and April Wine alumni David Henman, and Bassist Norm Hartshorne of the Montreal rock legends “Loose Ends”, called The Business. As well as being an accomplished bassist Norm has worked throughout Canada as a live engineer. While The Business will still get together for occasional shows, these days David is hard at work with his solo project, The David Henman Bandand so, Glenn Reid & Boogaloo was formed with guitarist Ken O’Gorman. Ken O’Gorman has been working in and around the Ontario music scene professionally for over twenty years. An active guitarist, mandolin player, harmonica player, producer and engineer, Ken is as comfortable in acoustic folk, blues or alternative country as he is in the progressive, classic rock and theatre realms. His recent recording and performance credits include House of Not, The David Henman Band, Hank Williams “Live 1952”, Silent C, Jim Clark’s “Granny’s Apples”, and, of course, Glenn Reid & Boogaloo. Glenn Reid & Boogaloo are in high demand to play their wide selection of 50’s and 60’s songs, along with various hits from Glenn’s CDs all over Ontario. The show is up-beat, danceable, and chock full of surprises. They’re very active in charitable causes in and around the GTA, having played for years at CIBCs Run For the Cure, New Hamburg’s Ride ‘n’ Stride, and Richmond Hill’s Ewing’s Cancer Annual Fund-raiser, to name a few.
