What began in a small church in Laurinburg, NC has led to his love for singing and performing various genres of music. He, was first introduced to gospel music during his childhood, when he attended the East Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church. His mother, was a church soloist during his childhood, while his maternal grandmother, was a licensed preacher. “I, was always in the midst of being influenced spiritually in God’s word, by grandma’s preaching it and mama singing it"... “I, absolutely loved our church music growing up, as it remains the greatest influence in my life and music endeavors". It was in his school's seventh grade that the family relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he resides today... During his high school years, he began professionally performing and recording varying genres of music, inclusive of his teen years of "rocking & rolling", fronting Jerry Lee Lewis, Bill Black Combo and other legendary entertainment artists, with his "crooning" a pop-country crossover tune or singing a gospel music favorite. His god-gifted vocal talents, have pleased and blessed many audiences throughout the southeast, that caught the attention of several of Nashville Tennessee's music industry's, legendary recording executive producers, inclusive of Noel Ball, Randy Wood, Johnny Vincent, Cliff Parman, Paul Cohen, Fred Foster, Bill Walker and Joel Gentry. To date, his recording experiences consists of several major recording studios, consisting of Nashville's famed Owen Bradley's Quonset Hut Studio, Monument Recording Studio, Hilltop Recording Studio along with East Avalon Recording Studio, Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Along with those studio sessions, his studio musicians and background singers consisted of many of Nashville's and Muscle Shoals' "best-of-the-best", such as Nashville's "A-Team" legends Floyd Cramer, Hank Garland, Bob Moore, Kelso Herston, Buddy Harman, The Jordanaires and The Anita Kerr Singers.
