Espial is a one member band that started with the demise of a band called Attik. Richie Isabell, singer and guitar player for Attik, had a lot of songs left over when the band split up. Richie liked the band atmoshpere and feel, but had no time to form another multi-member band so he started recording songs under the band name Espial.
The first three Espial albums were songs that were written for the band Attik. Most of these songs never hit the drawing board as far as the band goes. Some Espial songs are Attik songs that were co-written with other members of the band, but were never recorded. Richie's goal in music is to record everything he has ever written or has had a part of writing.
The name Espial stuck and now there are a total of ten albums. The most recent album is "Black & Gray" released in 2018, the first instrumental metal album attempt which sounds completely different than any other previously released album.
Espial will continue to record and add videos of acoustic versions of his songs and cover songs from time to time.
