Emerald

Emerald was founded on the 8th of Dezember 1991. In the beginning the Line-up consisted of: Manu (Voc), Wolli (Guit), Holger (Guit), Josy (Bass) and Chris (Drums). After one year Chris left the Band and 1993 Sherif joined the band as the new drummer. The first gig with the new Line-up was a support gig for Deep Purple at Wels Jubiläumshalle on their Battle rages on Tour. In 1994 Holger left the Band and they decided to go on with only one guitar. The Band played all over Austria the next years and in 2003 they dismissed Josy. It was a a long way to find a new bassist and in the end Manu took the bass and they continued as a trio. In early 2014 they took part in a band contest for the first time in bands history. It was the Local Heroes contest, which is the biggest one in Austria. From the first show they had the audience at their side and so they made it up to the finals.
