The SCSO is made up of community professionals and students, as well as Penn State faculty and students. Founded in 2010, this all-volunteer organization relies entirely on community support to fund music and equipment rentals. Offering free concerts each summer, the SCSO serves the dual purpose of providing an opportunity for local musicians to perform in an orchestral setting over the summer and providing a musical experience to State College residents over the summer, when many other orchestras have finished their seasons. Donations to the SCSO are accepted to defray the costs of performance rights, rental equipment, and advertising. All donations received beyond these expenses are donated to a designated charity for that concert.

Usually, when I see a RN artist with such varied AND famous influences as Stravinsky, Ravel and Debussy, and Reich and Glass, I think, yeah, suuuuure. However. Listening to "Indigo Concerto" I feel like it could be truly a collab between the five of them. We start of with an almost minimalist intro, break into some very early 20th French melodies and harmonies, and then suddenly I feel like "Symphonies of Wind Instruments" and "Le Sacre du Printemps" have teemed up to ram those aggressive chords into our ears. And then we're suddenly on to this sliding, beautiful, understated melody and it's none of them. I'll definitely be following your music!

Q: Are you hard on your students as a Music Theory professor? What's your take on attendance policies?

A: Hi there, I'm not hard on students as long as they do their homework. However, I do ask students to come to class! In fact I make it a requirement :) Are you going to be my student starting next week? Looking froward
