DOOMDOGS ARE CURRENTLY (August 2020) IN THE PROCESS OF WRITING NEW MATERIAL DOOMDOGS are a Doom/Stoner Metal band based in Gothenburg Sweden. DOOMDOGS current line-up (as from August 2020) : Guitars : Christer "Chris The Riff" Cuñat Candela (guitarist, songwriter and founder of Doomdogs) Drums : Anders Ström Bass : "TBD" Vocals : "TBD" The band was formed in 2007/2008 by guitarist and composer Christer Cuñat Candela. Doomdogs selftitled debut full-length album "DoomDogs" was released in February 2010 by Doomentia Records (CD/CD-digi) and High Roller Records (Vinyl LP). The band's second full-length album "Unleash The Truth" was released September 2011 by Doomentia Records (CD, CD-book and double Vinyl LP). Both albums were recorded at Grand Recordings studio (Gothenburg) on all analog units of 24 tracks on 2-inch tape and then mixed down to ¼ inch tapes achieving that analogue vibe you get from the tape compression when recording and mixing on tapes, and there were also real analog tape echo/delay and some other classic analog and tube-driven cool stuff used on the recordings. In December 2011 Doomdogs played as support act for the legendary cult doom band PENTAGRAM (U.S.) on their Scandinavian tour (Finland, Denmark, Sweden) and Pentagram's (and Place Of Skulls) doom-riff-meister Victor Griffin also does a guest appearance (guitar-solo on the track "A National Acrobat") on Doomdogs album "Unleash The Truth". DOOMDOGS participates on the Ozzy Osbourne tribute album "No More Tears - A Millennium Tribute To Ozzy Osbourne" with a heavy-as-hell cover version of the classic Black Sabbath song N.I.B. ! "No More Tears - A Millennium Tribute To Ozzy Osbourne" was released as a 3-CD set July 2012 by Versailles Records (U.S.) and consist of covers of Ozzy's solo material as well as his work with the mighty Black Sabbath. In January 2013 Doomdogs released the song "Oceans Of Despair" on a Split 7" Vinyl with the U.S. band War Injun (on Svart Records). In December 2012 Andy Emilsson joined as Doomdogs new drummer, and Andy played drums on all Doomdogs gigs and tours 2013. In February 2013 Doomdogs did the "Doomdogs Holland/England/Scotland Motordoom Tour 2013" as headliners. In March 2013 Doomdogs had the honor of opening for the mighty CANDLEMASS at Sticky Fingers Top Floor in Gothenburg Sweden. In January 2015 Christer Cuñat Candela reformed Doomdogs with new band-members. In September 2015 Doomdogs released "Those bloody voices" (Single, digital release) .
